Today we learnt some useful grammar:
I like/love/hate playing football. (Gerund)
I like/love/hate to play football. (Infinitive) (these sentences mean the same)
BUT:
I´m good at playing the guitar.
I´m bad at speaking French. (after these phrases - Gerund ONLY).
We listened to Roberto´s hobbies and sports and interviewed our parnters:
I love playing volleyball, but my partner loves playing football etc.
We also did a very fun sports quiz. You needed some general knowledge and English to answer the quesions. You did it very well. Here´re our Olympic Games results:
Player 1 - 13 points
Player 2 - 9 points
Player 3 - 13 points
Player 4 - 13 points
Player 5 - 9 points
Well done!
Today we also listened to Jorge´s project - his week with our DRAGON:
He went to his grandparents´ house with Jorge. He played games and did homework. Jorge has written a short report about this week, that we´ll have on our stand.
Here´s a photo of Jorge and a dragon:
Next lucky student is SONIA. The task is the same - spend a week with a dragon and prepare a project.
(Prepare a project in advance, take photos, draw a picture, write a short story etc.)
Our rubric "I´d like to know". Write in your comments some interesting facts about sports or hobbies. The most interesting will get extra points!
Example: There´s a curious sport - Chess boxing or chessboxing. It is a hybrid sport that combines chess with boxing in alternating rounds. The match begins with a chess round which is followed by a boxing round. Rounds of chess and boxing alternate until the end of the match.
