Class 11. Wednesday 18/03

Hello

Today we revised our Past Simple tense with the verb "to be":

Where was David at 6 a.m? - He was in his bed.
Where was he at 16 o´clock? - He was in the swimming pool.
Where were you yesterday? - I was in the park yetserday.

We also talked about the weather in the world yesterday:

What was the weather like in London yesterday? - It was sunny.
What was the weather like in Rio yesterday? - It was windy etc.

We even made our own world weather map!

Today we´ve revised all the topics we learnt these two trimesters and wrote a small assessment test. Don´t worry the results will go to your Olympic Games!

Hello

Today we practised our new grammar - Past Simple (the verb "to be"):

I was at the cinema yesterday? My mother was at home in the evening.
My friends were very happy etc.

We learnt some time expressions for our past tense (yesterday, last week (Saturday, winter, weekend), on Sunday evening, in 1998 etc.):

Where were you yesterday morning? - I was at home.



We continued working on our project. 

Day 6. Step 1 of our action plan. 

Today we started writing a letter to the Town Hall. It´s not finished yet and we need to correct some things and translate it into English, but still this our first step!

Information! Last class before vacations (25/03) we´re organising a Flea Market. Bring things you´d like to sell (second hand things, cooked food, hand-made decorations etc.) The money we´ll raise will go to the charity organisation. Everybody is invited (parents, friends, students etc.)

2 HOLLAND FESTIVAL

In this festival, the people goes to the ceatre, the cinema, and in Amsterdam, are other culturals activities.

3 WORLD  STATUES FESTIVAL OF ARNHEM

Is celebreted in the days 29 and 30 of September.

In this festivals the people that participace, has to pose as a sculpture, then the people goes to see this persons.

Today we revised some vocabulary on our topic "Weather". Some of them are synonyms of the words we already know:

We continued with our project.

Day 5. Brainstorming the ideas and choosing step by step actions.

So, we finally, started acting! First thing we´re going to do is to write a letter to the Town Hall exposing our problem and our solutions.
For that we need to investigate how to write this type of letters, what shall we write and what to include.

Today we started a new topic "Weather" and revised some vocabulary (sunny, cloudy, stromy, foggy, windy etc). 

We also listened to some people talking about weather:

brisk, crisp, cool, mild, damp, wet, dry, chilly, overcast etc.
