Class 7. Wednesday 18/02

Hello

Today we also had an unusual class. We spent half of it on the fresh air investigating our problem.

So, we went to the park to see the bridge and ask people how the poor condition of it affects them.

Here´re our photos:

We´re examining the bridge. The tiles are really damaged.

 Some people on the bridge give their opinion about it. Something should be done!

 A gentleman is also giving his opinion about the bridge. He has bad experience with the tiles and thinks that they need to be changed.

 A woman with children has the same opinion.

 Here finishes our "observation" phase. We have gathered some information and people´s opinions.
Let´s get back to the language school.

The state of the bridge
The consequences of the poor state of the bridge
What people think about the problem

So, the problem is highlighted, the consequences are observed. Next step is to search for solutions!!!


Next week we´re going to start a new topic apart from the project. The topic is "Weather".

Class 6. Wednesday 11/02

Hello!

Today we had an unusual class.
Firstly, we continued working on our project and made the next step! 

We grouped up our topics into four categories and put them under the clouds:

Then each one has chosen 2-3 most important topics and discussed their reasons for that:

Finally, we have voted for the topic/problem which is the most important for everybody. So, now we have our focus:

The old wooden bridge in the park Valdegrullas is in miserable condition and needs a solution!

So, for the next class you have a task - to investigate the reasons and consequencies of the problem. Who is affected by this problem? Interview people, prepare pictures, photos, videos etc.


Also this class we had a "Flipped" class where you´re teachers yourselves! You prepared interesting and fun activities! It was great!

How´re you?

Today is a very important day. We´ve started our project!

Day 1. What is it all about? - We can change the world for better!

So, we watched some videos and got inspired with the examples of other kids:

Then we had brainstorming of the ideas "What don´t we like around us?", those you had at home, observed around you etc.
We put all our ideas on the post-its:

Then we joined all our ideas on a big piece of cardboard and put everything together, some ideas were repeated, some were very similar, but it doesn´t matter:

Finally, we tried to group up all our ideas under different categories and we created four clouds under the names - People, Pollution, Problems in our Town and Problems in our Language School.

This was our Day 1. The first step is done!!!
